\nYou are to pick only one of the following two options. Your paper will be a summary of
\none of the following interviews.
\nFor Option C:
\nYou are to pick one young adult (19 to 39 years) OR middle-aged adult (40 to 64 years
\nold) to interview.
\nDue to any health concerns &\/or need for schedule flexibility please consider conducting
\nyour interview via the phone or other e-formats such as Zoom, FaceTime, and the like.
\nTo maintain confidentiality when writing about your interviewee pls consider referring to
\nthem as a letter (J) or as initials (JN). It is also perfectly fine to make up initials (KZ).
\nBefore gathering specifics during the actual interview please consider sharing with your
\ninterviewee what you have learned in the course regarding the biopsychosocial
\nframework with its life cycle factors. For instance, what makes me, me (or you, you) has
\na lot to do with biological, psychological and social cultural factors affecting
\ndevelopment as well as significant life events that occur at specific times during
\ndevelopment. You may want to give specific examples from each category to assist with
\nthe discussion.
\nBe sure to ask the interviewee the following questions but introduce them in a way that is
\nappropriate \/ authentic for you and them:
\n1. What role has your biology (genetics, neurochemistry, effects of medications,
\nimmune responses, fight \/ flight \/ freeze responses, bodily response to stress,
\netc\u2026) played in your life thus far? [Aim to address at least two to three with the
\ninterviewee. You are to write about two or more biological factors that impacted
\ntheir development.]
\n2. How has your psychology (sense of self, optimism or pessimism, learning style,
\nemotions, attitudes, memory, perceptions, beliefs, stress management strategies,
\npersonality style, etc\u2026) affected your life thus far? [Aim to address at least two to
\nthree with the interviewee. You are to write about two or more psychological
\nfactors that impacted their development.]
\n3. From a social perspective, what role did your sense of family, community,
\nconnectedness, medical care and socioeconomics play in your life thus far? And
\nfrom a cultural perspective, what role did your awareness of and participation in
\nyour culture &\/or cultural practices play in your life thus far? [For these two
\nquestions aim to address at least two or more with the interviewee. You are to
\nwrite about two or more sociocultural factors that impacted their development.]

\n4. Looking back can you identify a couple of critical life events (the event and the
\nage when it occurred) that played a big role in your development? If so, can you
\ntell me a bit about these events? (If possible, please attempt to write about the
\nimpact of two or more critical life events, their timing and likely impact upon
\ntheir development.)
\nFor your Concluding paragraph please provide a summary of your interviewee\u2019s life
\nand development. In addition. please be sure to address the following two tasks:
\n\u2022 Based upon their suspected chronological age where you would place them on
\nErikson\u2019s Psychosocial Stages of Lifespan Development? Be sure to support
\nyour answer.
\n\u2022 Based upon their life story (what you learned from the interview) where you
\nwould place them on Erikson\u2019s Psychosocial Stages of Lifespan
\nDevelopment? Be sure to support your answer.
\nFor Option D:
\nYou are to pick only one older adult (65 years or older) to interview.
\nDue to any health concerns &\/or need for schedule flexibility please consider conducting
\nyour interview via the phone or other e-formats such as Zoom, FaceTime, and the like.
\nHowever, note that older folks may be more comfortable with a face to face interaction.
\nTo maintain confidentiality when writing about your interviewee pls consider referring to
\nthem as a letter (J) or as initials (JN). It is also perfectly fine to make up initials (KZ).

\nBe sure to ask your interviewee the following questions:
\n1. Looking over your life so far what have been some of the highlights? [Aim to
\ndiscuss and write about at least two highlights.] Looking over your life so far
\nwhat have been some of the losses? [Aim to discuss and write about at least two
\nlosses.]
\n2. Have you ever experienced death of a loved one? If so, can you tell me a bit
\nabout it? According to your family or culture\u2019s practices what are the methods or
\nways of expressing grief? Were these followed or embraced by you during your
\ntime of loss? And if so, what was their impact upon your journey?
\n3. If you could give one piece of advice to a young person on how to live, what
\nwould you say? Why is this piece of advice important to you? When you were a
\nyoung adult, did you ever receive a piece of advice or wisdom for your journey?
\nIf so, how did that bit of wisdom affect your choices &\/or path?
\n4. Most days what brings you a sense of contentment or happiness? After your
\ndeath what do you think you will have left the world?

\nFor your Concluding paragraph please provide a summary of your interviewee\u2019s life
\nand development. In addition. please be sure to address the following two tasks:

\nImportant details regarding formatting and expectations:
\nThis paper is a summary of your interview. Pls avoid a question-answer format.
\nIt should be 4-5 pages in length (roughly 1000 words); it should be double-spaced; it
\nshould use Times New Roman (or a different serif font) size 12 font. Please follow APA
\nformat (7th edition) for all citations and references.

\n\u2022 This assignment will be marked out of 55 yet worth 15% of your total score in the
\ncourse. A self-evaluation accompanies this assignment. It is worth 5% toward
\nyour final score in the course. Together these two aspects of Assignment 2 will be
