The pain is described as a dull ache that worsens with activity, particularly climbing stairs and walking long distances. She reports no history of trauma to the knee. The pain is located in the medial aspect of the knee and is rated as a 5\/10 on the pain scale. She denies any locking, clicking, or swelling. She reports taking over-the-counter ibuprofen for pain relief with some temporary improvement. She denies any history of knee injuries or surgeries.<\/p>\n<p>Current Medications: Ibuprofen 200mg every 6 hours as needed for pain.<\/p>\n<p>Allergies: None reported.<\/p>\n<p>PMHx: Hypertension, well-controlled with medication. Appendectomy at age 18.<\/p>\n<p>Soc Hx: Works as a cashier at a grocery store. Enjoys gardening and walking. Lives with her husband and two adult children.
