Module 1: Epidemiology Triangle
Each student will prepare a paper focused on answering the following guidelines.
The purpose of this assignment is to strengthen your understanding of how diseases interact with their environment and host populations.
• Choose a current emerging disease or reemerging disease prevalent in your community or the larger community of the nation or world.
Take time to investigate recent public health reports or reliable global surveillance data to identify your selected disease.
• Complete an epidemiology triangle diagram for the chosen disease and thoroughly describe, using references, each factor and how it could contribute to an outbreak in your community.
Incorporating real-life data and examples will help demonstrate the interconnection between agent, host, and environment in your analysis.
o You must present your writing double-spaced, in Times New Roman, Arial, or Courier New font, with a font size of 12.
Consistent formatting ensures readability and aligns with professional academic presentation standards.
o Pay attention to grammar rules (spelling and syntax).
Clear writing enhances the credibility and professionalism of your work, allowing your ideas to be understood more effectively.
o Your work must be original and not contain material copied from books or the internet.
Academic honesty reflects your integrity and commitment to ethical scholarship.
o When citing the work of other authors, include citations and references using APA style to respect their intellectual property and avoid plagiarism.
Proper citation also allows readers to trace your research sources and validate your evidence base.
o Remember that your writing must have a header or a cover page that includes the name of the institution, the program, the course code, the title of the activity, your name and student number, and the assignment’s due date.
This cover page ensures all identifying details are organized for submission and academic record keeping.
Contribute a minimum of (2) pages. It should include at least (2) academic sources, formatted and cited in APA.
