\nSCOPE
\nThis task allows you to choose what you believe could be changed within the Australian legal system to enhance the protection of individuals in relation to surveillance and privacy.
\nYou can make recommendations regarding one or both topics. How you break that down is up to you.
\nIf you would like to be very specific, please state this in your introduction. Notably, should be including an introduction to outline the scope of your recommendations and which topics you will be focusing on.
\nSTRUCTURE
\nThe structure of this assessment is quite flexible, provided you adhere to instructions relating to headings etc.
\nYour research will assist in a potential structure, as undoubtedly, you will be referring to previous recommendations and policy papers.
\nARGUMENT AND ANALYSIS
\nBe mindful, that the assessment states that your recommendations must be well though-out. This would imply research and explanation.
\nIn order to aid in your analysis and argument, you may choose to consider the following guiding questions:

You have been tasked with submitting a policy paper which outlines the recommendations you believe would further enhance the protection of individuals in relation to surveillance and privacy in Australia.<\/p>\n
Your submission should contain a minimum of four well though-out recommendations. Each recommendation should be based upon research. Your submission should consider a range of sources and matters, which may include, but not limited to:<\/p>\n
– Legislation;
\n– Case Law;
\n– Reports and previous government publications;
\n– Academic scholarship; and
\n– International obligations and treaties.<\/p>\n
