\nThe objective is to analyse the assigned business case, reflecting on the management competencies within the competing values framework, and examining peer coaching as a development strategy. In the case the focus is an employee’s challenges managing up and navigating a difficult boss. The case study will be available on the Assessment Tab on Blackboard.<\/p>\n
Case Questions
\nReflecting on the case and Susan\u2019s challenges with Carlos:
\n1.\tIdentify and analyse key problems with how Susan navigates her relationship with her boss, then,
\n2.\tCritically evaluate Susan\u2019s management competencies and explore how she might:
\ni.\tCapitalise on her strengths in developing and implementing solutions to address interrelationship and communication problems, and,
\nii.\tImplement strategies to support\/mitigate behaviours which continue to impede her current relationship with her boss
\n3.\tImportantly, consider peer coaching as a strategy to support Susan develop her abilities to better manage up and deal with interpersonal relationships in the workplace, and,
\n4.\tConstruct a coaching plan to support Susan such that she remains in her current employment and decides not to leave.
\nWhat you need to do
\n1.\tPresent a written analysis of the case, integrating current literature on peer coaching and competencies within the competing values framework.
\n2.\tDemonstrate analytical reasoning, good writing skills, and originality.
\n3.\tDevelop a Report (table of contents, executive summary, tables, models, and diagrams etc).
\n4.\tIntegrate a minimum of 8 academic (peer reviewed) references (Chicago 17th B author-date referencing style https:\/\/libguides.library.curtin.edu.au\/ld.php?content_id=47908597
\n5.\tDemonstrate academic competence.
\nThe title page, table of contents, executive summary, tables, models, diagrams, bibliography, and appendices (if used); do not comprise part of the prescribed word limit of 2,000 words +\/- 10%.
