The data indicates that the death rate of cardiovascular disease in Franklin County per 100000 people is 174.7 being the highest cause of death followed by lung cancer at a rate of 45. The existence of the two concerns may be facilitated by other factors in the county. Some of the risk factors for cardiovascular disease and diabetes include poverty rate at 13.5% considered high in a county with unemployment rate of 4.9 percent. According to Healthy People 2030, 16 percent of Franklin County residents overall health is considered \u201cfair\u201d or \u201cpoor\u201d, which is slightly lower than Ohio State and the National overall. Lung cancer is the common cause of death among Franklin County males while the most death for females is dementia. The County objective of reducing the lung cancer death, routine screening has been initiated with almost 65 percent of adults aged 50 to 75 undergoing screening in the past three years.
