Question

Discuss, with reference to relevant theoretical models and empirical evidence, to what extent cultural differences should be considered and embedded in the international strategy of a MNE and what issues (like HRM, CRM issues or other similar issues) neglecting these could cause in international management. Use practical examples (case studies) to support your statements. Your answer should not exceed 3000 words (+/- 10%).

Things You Should Note

You should incorporate the works of different authors in your paragraphs.

Your paragraphs should begin with topic sentence and discuss a single idea in one paragraph.

Use University of South Wales Harvard referencing style as guided by the pdf attached (kindly avoid these revisions since you have a guide to help you out, for journals kindly attach dois and working links (30 references).

You are required to use practical examples of companies (case studies), check the videos for more info

You are also required to use theoretical models, check how it has been done and incorporated in the case studies from the examples given (note the question was different)

Structure of the Paper

Introduction (300 words)

Introduce the reader to your subject.

Explain the background of the topic etc.

Define key terms (MNE, cultural differences, and international strategy) and explain your interpretation of the question

State/explain the objectives

Outline what you intend to cover in the essay, your main arguments and conclusions (structure). Explain this depending on how you have structured your paper.

Main Body (2400 words)

Up to date sources (2015 – 2022 (maybe)) have been used as well as past research

A range of industry sectors have to been looked at

Literature review (getting the most from a journal paper) (What is the context of the article. WHY is the author writing about this topic/doing this research? What does the author really want to know? Ie WHY are they doing this particular piece of research? What did the author find out? What is the KEY message of this article?) Try to write this in just 2-3 sentences.

Conclusion (300 words)

Remind the reader of the purpose of the assignment

Summarize what you have discussed/ implications of your discussion

I have attached the referencing guide, the power point with more instructions and the videos of the professor explaining what to do and the kind of case studies to use. Ignore any of this and expect revisions.

I have also attached an assignment done last year though the question was slightly different you can use it especially how the writers did their case studies and applied theoretical models in their papers.
