In this case, identity theft entails a crime or illegality where an imposter gets key pieces of personally identifiable information to impersonate someone else and commit crime or fraud. The impersonator is in a position to access the victim&#8217;s bank accounts, drivers license or social security details that they use to illegally benefit financially or otherwise at the expense of the victim.<br \/>\nType of problems associated with identity theft<br \/>\nIdentity theft has adverse effects on the victims to the extent of disrupting their lives. First, identity theft can result in financial challenges on the victim. If identity theft occurs and it affects the bank accounts of the victim then they are likely to suffer financial loss or have their accounts frozen for some time till the mess is addressed (Button, Lewis and Tapley, 2014). The victims are affected as they spend working on credit files takes time to restore good credit, cleaning up and closing affected accounts, and working with social security Administration to identify the thief. Therefore, identity theft affecting the bank account results in loss of money or freezing of accounts until the issue is resolved leading to financial challenges.<br \/>\nIdentity theft leads to emotional challenges on the victim. The fact that identity theft is a faceless crime it causes an emotional reaction such as anger, initial shock and other long term emotions challenges (Button, Lewis and Tapley, 2014).  In this case, if someone impersonates the victim and commits crimes that harm their reputation or puts them at conflict with the law then the victim suffers emotional distress.<br \/>\nFinally, the effects of identity theft can lead to physical challenges to the victim thus affecting their normal lives (Bose and Leung, 2013). The emotional challenges from identity theft lead to an inability to focus, physical illnesses such as stomach issues, heart problems, sweating, body pain or sleeping issues. The physical challenges occur as one has to suffer in the handles of law enforcers thus making them lead a stressful life.<br \/>\nIn conclusion, identity theft results in challenges among the victims as criminals illegally impersonate them.
